4Points Dental Designs specializes in building relationships that optimize patient-centered outcomes in implant and functional-esthetic dentistry.

Our Story

Founded by Rick Sonntag in 2009, 4Points Dental Designs helps dentists grow their practices by maximizing predictablility and minimizing expensive remakes and complications.

4Points Dental Designs understands that with predictability comes profitability. Founder Rick Sontag’s in-house experience at the clinical practice at The Dawson Center gave him unique insight on what dentists want from their lab; consistent, predictable results and value-driven dentistry.

Rick achieved Accredited Technician status with the American Acadmey of Cosmetic Dentistry in 2013, one of only 34 ceramists in the world to earn this esteemed title, and one of only two in the world with Dawson experience and Accredited status.

Our Philosophy

We understand that you need a lab you can rely on which is why we work hard to understand the entire masticatory system and carefully analyze how our restorations function within that system. From function comes esthetics, by combining proven science, innovative design, and our own artisitic touch, 4Points provides restorations designed to save time, instill confidence, and elevate your dental practice.

We aim to partner with you, the dentist, to ensure your patients are getting the best results possible. All of our crowns, bridges, and implant restorations are designed and fabricated by leading technicians in St. Petersburg, Florida. We never outsource offshore, cut corners or mass-produce products.

our name

We draw inspiration at 4Points from a combination of Integral Theory, Dr. Pete Dawson's restorative algorithm, and the Pankey Cross. According to Integral Theory, there are four ways that we experience our world, personal lives, and our businesses:

  1. Subjective, the "I": attitudes, values, feeling, emotional intelligence.

  2. Objective, the "it": products, services, skills, individual performance.

  3. Intersubjective, the "we": culture, values, relationships, vision.

  4. Interobjective, the "its": systems theory, tools, processes, Lean.

Each of these lenses presents the truth in a valuable, unique way. It’s essential to have a balance of all four of these perspectives in order to have a full picture of life.
